| The Best Practices component of the Florida School
Report is a study of high performing schools in the state of
Florida. High performing schools are identified using Florida
Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) data. Once identified,
these high performing schools are researched to uncover and
share what is occurring that results in consistently high student
performance.
Florida Atlantic
University (FAU) was awarded a grant from the Council for
Educational Change to conduct the Best Practices study. FAU
teamed up with educational practitioners to conduct site visits
designed to uncover the best practices of high performing schools
in the state, including schools that have challenging student
populations, yet still perform consistently high on FCAT.
Preliminary reports from elementary schools are now available.
Results from middle and high school visits are scheduled to
be released this summer.
