In the Florida School Report’s Best Practices Study,
school principals were confirmed as the driving force behind
increased school achievement. School principals in High Performing
Schools empowered their staff and provided leadership opportunities
for them.
The research team observed principals engaged in a number
of leadership activities, notably forming Leadership Teams,
forming and building effective Learning Teams, developing
a common vision, and fostering mentoring relationships.
