3. Dedicate an Area of the Library/Media Center for On-line Professional Learning

A professional learning center for faculty should be established in the library/media center. Folders should be placed near computers for the media specialist, librarian, and all other faculty members to place articles or material of interest. A physical space communicates the importance leaders place on this activity; it also serves as a reminder and a gathering place for professional learning. On-line resources can also be catalogued and updated. A place to start is at the Center for Educational Change, www.changeeducation.org. The organization's website has tools for learning, resources for principals and leaders, and current information on what is happening to help schools improve.
