Module 4. Evaluating Change: Reflection and Celebration - Immediate Results

Module 4 Evaluating Change

1. Assess Action Goals

  1. Once the Learning Team has amended their instruction to attain an action goal, it is time for them to reflect on four key questions:
    1. Did our team discover an intervention that resulted in improved student performance?
    2. Did our faculty take action-in-common to improve student achievement schoolwide?
    3. What have I learned in the process?
    4. Where do we go from here?

  2. A Team Walk-About can provide a follow-up to the display-wall team progress update recommended in Module 2 (See Post and Publish Results Monthly), and sharing amongst team members.

Alternately, an excellent way to add some spark in the process is to convene a faculty meeting and ask that each Learning Team leader bring their team’s Progress Poster. In this latter activity, posters are displayed around the room and half of the members of each team act as idea scouts and visit all of the other teams’ stations. The other half of the team stays with the team’s poster to explain, take suggestions, and answer questions. Food and music make a nice complement to the occasion.
